My Story

Cancer is a b**ch! One of my best friends is fighting cancer right now. She has beaten it more than once before. It is unfair that someone as young as 29 should have to deal with cancer. Yet Lauren has been amazing throughout. She always manages to smile, joke around and have fun. She is incredibly brave and strong and I wish I could help her face this! I can't take away her pain or her cancer but I can show my support by raising money for cancer research. Those who know me will know that I am pretty lazy. I would rather eat chocolate than exercise and you will never see me step foot in a gym! I am also a little OCD which makes this muddy run way more challenging! Luckily another best friend of mine, Stef, will be joining me. She will most likely be pushed in the mud by me at the start (for a laugh!) and will also suffer from my panicking about being covered in mud! People who know me will know how much I wash my hands and how I refuse to touch yucky things! Good luck dealing with me Stef! (Please don't leave me behind on the course!) As well as Lauren facing cancer again, I also know of other people fighting this terrible disease and I would like to spread my love and support to them all! You are all stronger than you think! My sister in law recently lost her sister to cancer so I would like to give her a special mention and let her know she is in my thoughts! And a special mention to my brother of whom I lost to cancer when I was 11. I will never forget you!
