My Story

Thank you for taking time to visit my page. Everyone who knows me knows how close this charity is to my heart. I am doing race for life in loving memory of my wonderful & brave Mum and Dad, for my Nan, My mother in law, family of my friends and for everyone who has has their world turned upside down by hearing those dreaded words. Words can't describe how much my world has been torn apart by this horrible disease. In 2010, my Mum was diagnosed with this awful disease, she suffered,but fought so hard, sadly a cure was not to be and sadly she passed away later that year. Our whole world was turned upside down. Then in 2013 my Dad was also diagnosed, he suffered so much, but put up a fight. In 2014 my Dad had the all clear, but his body was so weak from all the treatment he had recieved. His body was so weak that he was in and out of hospital with infections. Sadly later in 2014 my Dad passed away. I'm so incredibly proud of both my Mum and Dad, i miss them with all my heart. I want to raise money for this charity, in the hope that one day there will be a cure & no more suffering and heart break. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
