Cancer's shit. We all know it, don't we? Everyone's affected in some way: maybe they've lost a family member, maybe they've got a friend who's anxiously awaiting test results, maybe they've got a partner who's undergoing chemo ... The positive side of the story is that the prognosis for many forms of cancer now is significantly better than it used to be, and that's down to research. But there's still a long way to go, which is why I want to raise money so that more research can be done and things can improve still further. Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate running! I'm sporty, yes, but I don't like to run for running's sake. Not. At. All. So obviously I've decided that it's a good idea to run both the Pretty Muddy 5K event (Saturday) and the (presumably non-muddy) 10K event (Sunday) this weekend. If you can spare a couple of quid to sponsor me, it'd be much appreciated :-)
