Becky’s Story Like many, I've seen much loved ones sadly lose their battle with cancer or are still fighting their way through this relentless disease. The devastation it causes is so terribly heartbreaking and we need to find a cure. Stand Up to Cancer campaign is something very close to my heart and I’ve seen first hand what the benefits of Scientific Research and trialling new treatments can really achieve. My cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 2 years old and with conventional treatments just not working there needed to be an alternative. A clinical trial was in discussion and it's through this that she is now starting to beat this wicked disease. I have several friends and family too who have either recently lost someone close to them or are seeing someone they really bloody love going through the mill. Monies raised for this campaign will help clinical trials become a reality and breakthrough treatments become a cure for many more, which is why I have chosen to raise money to help fund this. Myself and the divine Jeremy Beveridge will be attempting to schmooze our way through the American Smooth and will be partaking in an Ultra Ballroom event in October. We will be professionally trained for 8 weeks so we are hopeful our two left feet will find their rights. Although we can't promise we will be the next Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, a Curry & a Beverage is a match made in heaven right -so who knows.
