My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly my way to 20k in August to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. I originally signed up for the 10k in August challenge but I really wanted to push myself as it’s for such a good cause!! As a student nurse and in my personal life I have seen how cancer can be devastating to people and their loved ones. A diagnosis can come when you least expect it and it changes the course of your life forever. I want to do anything I can to try and raise money to completely eradicate this awful awful disease. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
