Beckie's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. One mans life, my Uncle Bill is a life that I will not be able to save! November 2017 Uncle Bill was diagnosed with Liver Cancer, he was told it had spread, will continue to keep spreading and that he had only 6 months left to live at a push. He could continue on and have treatment, chemotherapy etc. however the inevitable would still happen or he could go without any treatment. Several years previous to this his beautiful wife, my Auntie Jackie was also diagnosed with cancer, she went through treatment and was incredibly poorly until one day cancer beat her. Knowing how much she suffered, how poorly she was my Uncle made a courageous decision to go without treatment. To live his last months out the best he could without feeling so poorly of what going through chemotherapy can cause. Today, 9th April we went to pick up a prescription and do a mini food shop. I treasure and love every second i get to spend with him. Never take your loved ones for granted or those little moments even if they are just going shopping. Uncle Bill you are so strong and are still fighting. Me, the entirety of my amazing family and his friends will continue to stand by his side and support him every step of the way. I love ya William.
