In memory of
Multiple family & friends, some who've passed, some who've fought and won / are winning
Just in the last month I lost a family member to cancer; about 5 years ago I lost an autie to it too. Then there's the multiple work colleagues I've lost along the way, and even as a child I remember one of my favourite teachers, passing young, also to this evil disease. Cancer doesn't care about age - my friends young son, not long out of nursery had a diagnosis 18 months ago, he is still fighting. Fame and fortune also don't help - look at Michael Bubles youngster. So what does help? Funding for research! I have a friend who's beat breast cancer; another who's been in a constant fight with ovarian cancer and won each round; and then I too have been one of the lucky ones when I was found to have malignant cells following a routine smear, 12 year ago now. Research comes at a price, but it doesn't have to be a huge price if we share that cost. Just a small donation can help those suffering live more comfortably, and possibly find that cure. On 01/07/17 I will be running the Pretty Muddy 5k, with my friend Nicola. I'd really appreciate any small donations people can make to Cancer Research, in the form of sponsorship. I've just named multiple people I know who've been impacted by cancer. I'm sure you too will have multiple to add to the list. So let's do this for them, and let's do this for the cancer patients of the future. Together we can fight back.
