My Story
My Brother and I are doing it in memory of our Grandad AND for our parents. A little more info about why we're doing this: My Grandad: He felt like a third parent across my lifetime, fought several forms of cancer during his final few years. He passed away Boxing day 2017. My Mum: We learned in 2020 that she too was battling cancer. Her journey has been longer and tougher than expected due to the pandemic. She underwent a big operation in May - on the up. My Dad: When we decided to embark on this, we were at the start of the journey with my Dad. As we draw closer to the run, we're learning more. In summary, cancer. Tough times ahead. There are other people (and pets) we have known who have lost their battle with cancer too. It has felt the last few years that cancer is taking away everyone I love. I can't make a huge difference, but I can show my solidarity and make a little dent somewhere. Any help along the way is much appreciated. Thank you x
