Becci's Race for Life

A little bit about my story... As most of you know cancer has been one hell of a journey for my beautiful mum who sadly lost her second battle on the 18th November 2017 💕 I’m doing this 10k to firstly raise money for this amazing charity. Mum beat breast cancer 7 years ago now. She put up one hell of a fight after her terminal diagnoses of a very unfair, none related, stomach cancer that she got just over 2 years ago. Without the help of our consultant and all the cancer team, mum would have not been able to do the amazing things she crammed in 💕 (New Zealand, Festivals etc). The other reason why I signed up to this is to mentally give me something to focus on. Still so raw and adjusting our future without mum around, mental health is so important. After being at a very low point when mum was really poorly, I needed a goal to focus on - as well as hopefully making bit of a difference to Cancer Research. I’ve learnt so much already, using Force (also an amazing charity to support cancer patients and their loved ones) for counselling sessions, talking to loved ones and having an amazing husband. I really do believe in ‘a problem shared, is a problem halved. Running/walking is a great escape for me personally, I can clear my head, have a cry and put the worlds to right with Murphy 🐶🐾 Anyway, that’s enough of me blubbering on... any donations would be so appreciated 💕 thank you xxx
