My Story
When searching for motivation to regain some semblance of fitness post-pregnancy, it occurred to me that there are worse things than a bit of running. Having witnessed one of my close friends kick cancer's butt, and having lost a grandparent to it, this seemed the perfect way to channel my selfishness into a good cause and contribute to the fight. We all know someone who's faced or is facing cancer, and the fear of it is a huge part of our lives. I don't want my children to have that fear, like I do. That's why I decided to bite the bullet and take part in the Pretty Muddy 5K! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
