My Story

Having Bowel Cancer changed my life plus my out look on life. I was so determined to beat this disease and never looked back. After being given the all clear from bowel cancer, I now want to help towards finding a cure by raising awareness and to organize and take part in fundraising events for the BMF, plus raise funds for much needed research into beating Bowel Cancer. Sadly a couple of months ago our dear Mum / Nan passed away , she was my inspiration and was always there for me during the good and bad times. Along with my hero Bobby Moore, I want to keep the Memory of these two beautiful people going by taking part in events in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund. My 4 sons and I have planned a special event for this Friday 22nd Febuary. This will be a very emotional, Proud and enjoyable day in many ways for me and my 4 sons, Jamie, Liam, Paul and Jason. We will be walking 23miles with a photo and wreaths in Memory of our Mum(Nan) and Bobby Moore OBE from Fulham to West Ham's London Stadium. We want to help raise awearness and also fundraise for the Bobby Moore Fund. I fill very privileged to be able to give something back and help those battling cancer and also in memory of those who are now our heavenly Angels. Having my sons with me will be extra special during the 23miles. Thank you all so much in advance for your continuious support - "cancer has No colours" Jim, Jamie, Liam , Paul & Jason 🌻xxxxx

CAUSE

Bobby Moore Fund

Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 46 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
