Sugar Free February

Wed 1 Feb 2017

Cancer. One word that can tear someone's world apart. I'm raising as much as I can to beat cancer.

In memory of

My Dad

My Story

Cancer. One word that can tear apart someone's world. This isn't something I often speak about but at the age of four I lost my dad to cancer. Back then (soon coming up to seventeen years ago) there wasn't as many cancer patients as there are now, nor was there as much treatment available for it. I'm writing this today as I'm older and 'wiser' and with your support I would like to contribute in finding a 'cure' for cancer. So, for the next month (February) My niece and I, were going to give up sugar. Yes. Sugar. The 'bad' type of sugar. Everyone has somewhat of an addiction;Right? I'd like to share my journey of being sugar free for the month with you. It won't be easy, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Will you sponsor me? :) Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Thank you. A x

CAUSE

Lung cancer

Each year more than 43,500 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK. We urgently need to drive progress so that more people survive their disease. Cancer Research UK is at the forefront in lung cancer research and is funding various projects to tackle the disease head on. This includes the TRACERx study, Cancer Research UK’s largest investment into lung cancer to date. This study has already transformed our understanding of how lung cancer evolves and is continuing to shed light on how to prevent, detect and treat the disease.
