Barbara's Very 2020 Race for Life
Sat 26 Sep 2020
I have been taking part in Race for Life since 2005 and this year will be my 16th! I always took part for other friends and family but in 2015 I had breast cancer and now I do it for me too. After finishing chemo in 2016 I did Race for Life with no hair and not 100% fit but it was my goal to do it and my amazing friends raise lots of money for me. I still have some time before I get the all clear but the more money we raise for research the better all our chances of survival. Due to the coronavirus meaning that the race I was due to run was cancelled, I completed my 5k local to home, in my tutu, on what would have been my race day, 12th July. Now I have been invited to join thousands of others for a virtual #Very2020RaceForLife on Saturday 26 September so I will be doing another 5k! Thank you for supporting my Cancer Research UK #Very2020RaceForLife. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today! Baa xxx
