As I think you already know, my daughter Lolly (Laura) has ovarian cancer, and unhappily, since her operation, and treatment last year, it has returned, and she is once again having chemotherapy. She is currently doing well, and is determined to take part in the Race for Life in Aberystwyth, in aid of Cancer Research UK. I shall be joining her in this three mile walk, as will her daughter, Rachel. As I am now 90 years old the walk will be quite a challenge. However, our team of three generations managed to complete the walk last year, and we are determined to do so again, in order to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
