It is just 10,000 steps/day for me, but it is a chance to win the war against cancer for all of us.

My Story

I am a scientist, I already devoted my life to cancer research, but I know we need more help to win! We need all of You! If you want to support me in this challenge (10,000 steps/day), please donate to Cancer Research UK Walk All Over Cancer. I could probably write a long story on why do I think raising money for cancer research is a nobel idea and a good thing to do with your money, but we all know it simply is. As a researcher I know how much we still don't understand and need to learn about cancer. I want to share this knowledge with you All and show you some behind the scenes images of the life of a usual research fellow. I want people to understand what we, scientists, do to help beat the disease and won't stop at anything to do it! That is why I will take part in this great challenge to Walk with you All Over Cancer this March. It is a great push for me, the occasional couch potato, to work on my "steps count" at the same time. So get ready and let's do it together. I will put updates on how things are progressing for me along the way. Stay tuned...

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
