Bank Old Chums Network

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Cancer Research UK fundraising page. The Bank Old Chums Network Facebook group (and previously NatWest Old Chums) has really taken off - and I wasn't expecting that! I set it up for the sole purpose of putting a friend of mine back in touch with friends that she has lost touch with over the years. She was battling against cancer and I thought it would be great for her to rekindle some old friendships. When the group became SO popular I wondered if we could perhaps do some good for others, as well as laughing at the 'Good Old Days' and catching-up with workmates who have travelled around the globe (we really are an international group with members across the world). After checking that it wouldn't offend people by asking for cash - and following the overwhelming support for the idea - I have set up this fundraising donation page in aid of Cancer Research UK. (100% of all the donations go to directly to Cancer Research UK (i.e. no handling fees, unlike JustGiving who charge a fee). Cancer has touched the lives of so many people. For me I have lost some great friends, my wife is now cancer free thankfully, I have friends fighting it at the moment - and every day there is someone else I hear about who has been diagnosed. I'm setting this up for them - and everyone in the Chums group and beyond who has had their lives affected by this disease that we know as cancer. Please donate as much as you are able to help the work of this amazing charity. Tell us why you are donating and, if appropriate, for whom. I think that we could raise a tidy sum if everyone in they group have just £2 now and again...but we could raise a lot more if members were even more generous. If you are able, why join the growing number who are making a small monthly Direct Debit donation? Every little helps...but larger ones help even more! 🌞 The group is not really about giving cash and is there purely for your/our enjoyment. There is no membership fee to be a part of Old Chums.
