Shine Night Walk - Half Marathon
I'm walking the Shine Night Walk Half Marathon in the fight to beat cancer.
Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my page. Most of you will know that me and exercise have not been the best of friends over the past few months (years!) but glad to say that we have resumed the relationship and we are getting on very well. So well in fact, that I have been motivated to set myself this rather large goal (for me anyway). Sadly, I have lost a few loved ones to the evil that is cancer and know of a lot of friends and family who have felt the pain of loss as a result of this awful disease. I lost my cousin, Shabbir, three and a half years ago and still miss him dearly, especially his zest for life, love of food and infectious laughter. I am therefore doing this small deed, in his memory, with my good friends to help raise some money so that we can help the clever people at Cancer Research UK continue in their great work to find a cure for cancer. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. So please dig deep if you can and a massive THANK YOU in advance. Az x
