AXIS - Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Team
In September 2024, 10 AXIS staff will join Public Sector Teams from across the UK climbing 3 peaks in 24 hours as part of the public sector challenge 2024. The AXIS team will be tackling the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Friday 6th of September. The challenge route is 24-miles and includes 1585m of ascent, taking on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough. The Public Sector Challenge is for teams to beat the clock (within 24hrs) and climb 3 peaks in 24hrs, climbing the closest peaks within a day or counting steps and doing the virtual challenge from their workplace or home. Team will be climbing the biggest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, and Teams will be undertaking the challenge independently as their organisations though collaborating to raise money together for Cancer Research UK as part of the wider challenge.
