My Story
Cancer affects a lot of families all around the world. This is a very difficult time for the family members that have to go through with it, not just the individual themselves. My mum was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer in March 2018. This has been difficult to take in and deal with. I have went and been there with her every chemotherapy treatment she has had so far, and I want to continue to do so. She has done so well over the past few months and I’m ever so proud of her as this is not an easy thing to hear and take on let alone go for chemotherapy treatments. She is the main reason why I’m doing this, the woman who carried me for 9 months, the one who fed me, changed me and made me into the person I am now - including a mummy! I got it all from her and I’ve learnt so much from her over the past 24 years. So, I have set a target of £100 as it’s my first! Please feel free to donate whether it’s £1 or £10 - literally, every penny counts and it pains me to know my mum has been diagnosed as one of those 1 in 2 people. I have donations sat in my tin at home from bake sales and people’s donations so far. And I thank each and every one of you individually. I’ve been training - trying to anyway, with a baby and I’m looking foreword to the mess, laughter and fun! Thank you all for taking your time to read this! Asmira Sistek
