My Story
As many of you may know this a cause dear to my heart. As a family, we lost the 2 most positive, kindest, happiest people we will ever know to cancer/leukaemia. My Nan was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukaemia) and died 4 months after diagnosis. My Grandad struggled without her and not even a year after her death, was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer himself. He fought for just over a year but sadly lost his battle. There are many more people I know who have lost their battle to cancer. I work on a unit where families are distraught everyday by the effects cancer can have on their loved ones. It is not a nice disease and it’s time to fight back. ❤️ 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
