I'm taking part in Race for Life in the memory of my late nana Phyllis. And I’m also doing this for my partners grandma Elsie
In June me and my partner are going to be running the 5k for this amazing charity. We are doing this because we both have had grandparents that have suffered with cancer. I lost my nana last year to cancer and it’s a sore wound that will stay with me for a long time. My partners grandma had this horrible disease in 2017 and with the help and support of the doctors and nurses she beat cancer and is fit and well.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
