This year I have felt really passionate to participate in this charity event as it has affected someone so close to me. You never really think it will happen to someone so close to yourself-but we know as a family that this awful disease is only going to be a short chapter in our lives and not the entire story. For those that know my Mam will know how fit, strong, brave, selfless and amazing she is- and even though she has to deal with such an unpleasant thing she does it with such a spring in her step. A small donation will really help make a difference towards Cancer research even if its just as little as £1.
