My Story
For the first time, men are able to take part in Race For Life. This year, John and I will RUN the Race For Life King’s Lynn for our loved ones who have lost their battles to cancer. I have always taken part in Race For Life, and John and I are so happy that men can now also join in (so he can struggle with the uneven ground alongside me!) We have both lost incredibly important and loved people in our lives to cancer. Most recently we have lost John’s uncle Del, a central part to his family who is missed dearly every day. Almost 7 years ago I lost my nanny to cancer, a week before my 18th birthday, and not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about her and missed her so much. We have also lost an incredible little boy, Jac Coffey, who I was lucky enough to meet at my time at KLFM. John has also lost his two grandad’s, Mick and John, to this awful disease. So that’s why this year we’re giving it everything we’ve got, and we’re going to RUN the Race For Life! We may not be very fast, but every step will be for these amazing people that are no longer with us, and I know from personal experience those around us will be feeling exactly the same. We will beat cancer. Please support us in helping this to happen sooner.
