My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. There are people in my life who have been affected by cancer - from my family to my closest friends. All of them who are such fighters. Seeing what they have been through, and how strong they’ve had to be, is one of the reasons this cause means so much to me. Over the past few months I’ve also been pushing myself personally by starting Couch to 5K. When I first began, running even a few minutes felt like a challenge, but week by week I’ve been building up my stamina and confidence. What started as a small step to get more active has turned into a real journey of becoming fitter and discovering that I actually enjoy running. Taking part in Race for Life feels like the perfect way to put that progress towards something meaningful. Any donation - no matter how big or small will mean everything to me
