Shine Night Walk London 10k 2021
My Story
My name is Arti Sharma. I decided to sign up to the 10k shine Night walk this year I will be walking from Southwark Park and finishing at Old Billingsgate (London). This charity is personal to me because my uncle who was one of the most hard working, kindest & caring people sadly had lost his life to Prostate Cancer on May 31st 2015. He spent his last days at St Lukes Hospice where he was given the best care possible. All his life he was a gynaecologist and always looked after all his patients with care & compassion and worked to his best ability, not only that but he was always 100 percent committed to everything he did and loved his family very much. Not one day goes by that our family do not miss him, he taught us so much and he is in our hearts forever. I want to raise as much money as i can to support Cancer Research and prostate cancer so that is why i will be participating in this event on September 25th 2021 with my friend Nadine to honour him and other people who have either lost someone close to them or who know someone that is suffering with Cancer. Together we can beat cancer. Facts about Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with around 41,700 cases diagnosed every year. Help fund Cancer Research UK to continue its work to find new ways to tackle the disease and improve survival rates.
