My Story
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I have had the ambition to run a half marathon for a long time now and I am pleased to have finally made the commitment to run the Sheffield Half Marathon on 27th September. While I have done this to challenge myself, doing some good along the way will be an amazing bonus. So, I have decided to try to raise money for Cancer Research. Cancer has affected my family, as it has done to millions of families up and down the country, which is another reason that I feel this is my chance to do my part. When I was in year 8 my mother was sadly diagnosed with Breast Cancer and thanks to the wonderful work by Cancer Research. I still have her with me today, however other families aren’t so lucky. I kindly ask that everyone donate what they can no matter how small. A simple £1 and a share would mean the world to me.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
