My Story
Hi, my name is Arnie Delstanche, running under the alias Terry Rex. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I also have an instagram page via @terry_rex_running. My Mission: I'm running to support cancer research and those affected by it. I’m suiting up and running in an inflatable T-Rex costume—not just because it’s challenging, but because it’s impossible to ignore. The costume may be silly, but the fight against cancer is serious. I have lost several family members to cancer and have been treated for it myself. I know just how devastating it can be to get at all ages. Cancer doesn’t wait, and neither should we, which is why I want to raise awareness, funds, and bring a smile to people's faces in order to spread hope. Together, we can make a real difference for those battling today and for future generations. Thank you for joining me on this prehistoric journey. 🦖❤️ My Goals: I will be running Southsea parkrun on Saturdays but also have the following milestones in costume. 5km (Parkun x19) - ✅ (23:15 PB at Southsea Parkrun on 31st May) 10km - ✅ (51:21 at Chichester Goodwood 2nd February) Giant Slalom Ski Race - ✅ (Switzerland 15th February) 10km - ✅ (49:55 at London Winter Run 23rd February) Half Marathon - ✅ (2hr34 Jurassic Express Trail Run 15th March) Half Marathon - ✅ (1hr55 Wimbledon Half April 6th) Race for Life 10k - ✅ (52:30 Basingstoke May 25th) Arctic Marathon! - ✅ (4:07:46 Tromso, Norway June 21st) Race for Life 10k - ✅ (48:30 Portsmouth June 29th) The Big Half - ⏳ (London September 7th) Great South Run - ⏳ (Portsmouth October 19th) London Marathon '26 - ??? Why Cancer Research UK? I'm doing something silly, for something serious. Like many, I have lost family members to cancer and I myself have been treated for it. In the last 50 years, Cancer Research UK’s work has helped double cancer survival in the UK. Donate today to help bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
