It’s simple: We are going to join a project aiming to raise a million pounds for cancer research, and we are going to do it by puddle jumping. So get those wellies on, jump in a puddle and share the love! Our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 1st Appleby and 1st Hesket Scout Group are raising funds - we are aiming to raise £1 for every jump we make in a puddle over the next 2 months! Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
