My Story
It's probably safe to say, pretty much everyone knows someone who has been affected by the dreaded big C. I was super lucky for a long time and it hadn't affected me directly until I was in my 30's and started losing older close family members. And as you start getting older, your perspective on life changes. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, I want to help do my bit and raise a little money to help fund the vital research needed. I am all for alternative therapies too, but I guess every little helps when it comes to Cancer and it's what you believe in. So, a fabulous group of ladies I will be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life and walking our own 5k on Saturday 26th September and dressed in our pink gear! Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
