My Story
Everyone I know has somehow been affected by cancer, Cancer doesn’t care about age or who it takes. I hope one day we can beat it. It’s amazing how far treatment has come, but of course, many are still losing their lives to cancer. My mum is a survivor and for that I am truly grateful. In her 40’s she was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma and received treatment in the form of Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, lymph node removal and steroids. It was a gruelling time for her and she fought hard and it saved her life! Then in 2011 she got a very aggressive breast cancer, after a mastectomy and chemotherapy and many operations and blood transfusions, she beat cancer for the second time. I’m so proud of her fight, but she wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the treatment she received. So please help to raise money so that more people an beat cancer. Thank you!! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
