Anyone who knows me knows I don’t run. I’m happy to walk, ramble, cycle for hours but running has never been my thing. So, you’ll understand what a crazy decision I’ve just made. I’m running 5 Km in June for Cancer Research, in preparation for a 10 Km run in October for Time to Talk, a local charity who offers counselling for young people. We have all been affected by cancer or depression in one way or another, so I’ve decided to do this in memory of Katrina, Emma, Jodie, Karen and many others and for those who have suffered a loss or are currently struggling to find their way. More details on the October run to come later but in the meantime, feel free to support me on this run, wait for October, or support both charities. I've now bought a pair of running shoes so expect to see me on Greenham common or running around Newbury quite a lot in the next few months! I really appreciate your support, it really means a lot.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
