Pretty Muddy Derby 5k 2017
Sat 1 Jul 2017
To help bring an end to this horrible disease that has no respect for age, colour or creed.
In memory of
George Frederick Thompson ( my dad) xxx
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. NOT taking part this year was never an option since it is now 10 years since my own brush with this devastating disease. As far as I'm aware, I'm doing fine but many many others are not so lucky. Since losing my lovely dad to it nearly 29 years ago, I have lost other friends and family to Cancer and also have friends who are battling through it now. My daughter Danni, and I are taking part for them especially. As we were away on the day of our usual 5k/10k event, we are pushing ourselves a little more out of our comfort zone this time and doing the Pretty Muddy obstacle course...... Oh oh! I've been having disc trouble with my back - fingers crossed it doesn't go on the day, could be very painful!! Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Please, if you're not already sponsoring someone and can spare a pound or two, we'd be extremely grateful for your contribution. Thank you to everyone who reads this.
