Anne's Walk All Over Cancer Fundraising Page
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. As you know, I had chemotherapy for follicular lymphoma and am now in full remission. Follicular Lymphoma can’t be cured at the moment but as research goes on, hopefully one day they will find a cure. I always meant to raise money once I recovered from my treatment but kept putting it off. When this challenge came up, I thought now is the time to do it.SO not only will I help cancer research, I will also help myself. During lockdown I was and am in the shielded category meaning that a lot of time is spent in the house sitting on my “ bum “. My muscles have deteriorated, my fitness is zero and my weight is the only thing that has increased. So hear I go. Since I have been so inactive for a long time, it is my thought that I should aim for a weekly number of steps, increasing each week for the month of March. However on the 1st I did 9086 steps and on the 2nd did 15000 steps. I don’t think that will continue, especially as I have a dodgy knee. My aim is 40000 week on and increase by 5000 each week.. I would really appreciate it if my friends could donate £5 to help me reach my target. Feel free if you want to give more !!! I promise that I will complete the challenge and hopefully you will see a new, fit and healthy me by the end of it. Thanks in advance for your support. Love Anne x
