I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer sooner and to keep alive the memories of two of the best the world has ever seen.
In memory of
Carl and Amy
We all know someone whose life has been changed by cancer. I watched one of my best friends lose her Mum, Amy. My family lost Carl. I hugged Carl's wife Anne as she broke down last year, several years after we lost him and I have never felt so helpless. Carl and Anne are part of the reason I am in the job I'm in and am the person I am, and I never got a chance to say thank you or goodbye. I have watched Amy's amazing youngest daughter grow up to look more and more like her mum every day and my friend show the world just how strong a person can be. I want her beautiful daughters and her gorgeous new granddaughter to know that Amy is the inspiration behind so many people raising money for Cancer Research. If we keep going- maybe someone else won't have to lose their Carl or Amy. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. All the money raised makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s work, so please sponsor me to make a complete fool of myself in a muddy field!
