WHY? As some of you may or may not know, mum (Jenny) had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The dreaded C bomb is something no family wants to hear but unfortunately effects all of us in one way or another, whether directly or indirectly. WHAT? To raise awareness and support I have made the BALD decision (bald, haha get it 😉) to shave my head for Breast Cancer & Macmillian Cancer Support. Anyone who knows me, knows my hair is the one feature that actually makes me feel like a girl but at the end of the day it's just hair! Cancer fighters have to battle much harder loses than just losing hair but sometimes this can be one of the biggest struggles as it is a huge part of people's identity. I want to prove that hair does not define us and mum does not have to fight this alone as we are all there besides her every step of the way. All donations big or small are hugely appreciated and my hair will be donated to the princess trust ( An amazing charity that makes wigs for cancer fighters) WHEN & WHERE? I will be taking part in Race for Life Pretty Muddy @ Weston Park on 30th October 2021 and so it only feels right to brave the shave on this day.
