My Story
When it comes to cancer, as far as I can see - so much is about options. Having options. And there simply aren’t enough options available still. My dear friends; who were loved young parents, friends and partners… My Dad’s friend and my Mum’s friend this year; both older loved parents, friends and partners… I don’t think they had enough options. The seriously smart thinking that Cancer Research unlocks is what gets us more options. Please do give if you can. It’s a half marathon that I’ve trained hard for; in the dark, in the woods, in the Bristol sleet. I’ve been scared in the woods alone. And I’ve loved my training. I’ve loved having a chance to think of my friends. And to think of the fear as privilege. It’s an option that I have. We all need more options.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
