My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. This year I am taking part again with my daughter Tarja in Big Hike to help power progress for people affected by cancer and in memory of my husband Gareth. Gareth was diagnosed with small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma in the larynx in 2019, which, after an extensive chemo - and radiotherapy, unfortunately spread into the adrenal glands, brain, kidneys and bowel. Sadly, after a 5 year courageous battle, Gareth passed away at home on 15th of April 2024. Gareth was a strong supporter of any kind of cancer research, even after his death, by donating his body to the University of Birmingham for research and training. He is and always will be our hero. Please donate to my Giving Page and help me take big steps to beat cancer. Every little helps. Thank you.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
