My Story

Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love reading so this month, I am turning my biggest passion into a mission close to my heart. I am taking on this 30-day challenge in loving memory of my wonderful mother-in-law, Penny. In August 2024, Penny was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, and heartbreakingly, she passed away just the following month. The speed and impact of this disease showed our family firsthand how devastating cancer can be, and how desperately we need better ways to detect and treat it early. The life-saving research funded by Cancer Research UK gives families more precious time together. By reading every single day, I want to play a small part in raising the funds needed to beat this disease, so that fewer families have to experience this sudden and painful loss.
