My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. In 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. The research studies undertaken in this area have enabled me to still be alive. Drugs are becoming more specialised so that the medications I have been taking are particularly developed for those like me with an alteration in the BRCA1 gene. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work. I shall run as fast as I can! Thank you for your contribution.
