Cancer - a truly aweful, shocking, life changing word that anyone can hear whether directly or indirectly involved. Like many of you, I have lost loved ones due to this monster. 😔🕯️😔🕯️😔🕯️ I lost my godfather 16 years ago 💔 My Mum's partner - who was like a step-grandad to my older son - 9 years ago 💔 My younger son's paternal grandmother 18 years ago. Due to this terrible disease, he will never know his other 'Mama'.💔 And this is the point when it got personal for me; let's take this seriously and raise as much as I (and we as a team) can to make sure, no grandkids grow up without their grandparents, no children lose their parents and vice versa.💞 There are success stories as well: my friend's skin cancer is in remission now, my other friend's husband successfully came out the other end following skin cancer and many more whom won the battle.🙏🤘 Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years.
