Cancer - a truly aweful, shocking, life changing word that anyone can hear whether directly or indirectly involved. Like many of you, I have lost loved ones due to this monster. ππ―οΈππ―οΈππ―οΈ I lost my godfather 16 years ago π My Mum's partner - who was like a step-grandad to my older son - 9 years ago π My younger son's paternal grandmother 18 years ago. Due to this terrible disease, he will never know his other 'Mama'.π And this is the point when it got personal for me; let's take this seriously and raise as much as I (and we as a team) can to make sure, no grandkids grow up without their grandparents, no children lose their parents and vice versa.π There are success stories as well: my friend's skin cancer is in remission now, my other friend's husband successfully came out the other end following skin cancer and many more whom won the battle.ππ€ Each year Cancer Research UKβs scientists get closer to beating cancer, and theyβve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we canβt stop there.π«π«π« Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UKβs groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. π·π·π· To make it more fun for you, I created an online FORM to guess how many steps it will take me to complete the full marathon (4οΈβ£2οΈβ£. 1οΈβ£9οΈβ£5οΈβ£km πππ) in London, on the night of Saturday 21st September. πππ If your guess is closest to my total steps, you will get a prize which is π₯ π₯ π₯ my world famous 'very chocolatey caramel cake' π₯§ or 'lemon mascarpone cake' π° if that's your preference π. All you need to do is to complete the FORM at the bottom of this section and make a donation (no matter how little it is) by clicking the 'Donate' button.β¬οΈ π±οΈβ¬οΈ Let's have the fun and the training begin... πΆββοΈππΆββοΈππ Link to the FORM: https://forms.gle/esRMD6mrWzBkyirm7 ( π€« Between you and me, I still can't believe I'm doing this... πππ€)
