My Story
On May 25th my beautiful colleague/friend Juliet Anne Parker passed away following her diagnosis from a rare form cancer by the name of Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP). On Saturday 26th October, I will be joining Juliet’s family in taking part in the Shine Night Walk (10k) in memory of Juliet. This particular cancer usually starts from the appendix. In Juliet’s case her appendix burst, which was then later discovered that the burst substance had become cancerous. If you experience a sharp abdominal pain towards the bottom left, or generally do not feel yourself, please do not ignore these signs. To diagnose Juliet with cancer and the specific type of cancer Juliet had, took several months. I cannot stress how important it is to fund amazing charities like CRUK that spend time, commitment and dedication in researching different types of cancer, finding cures and early detection. The money I will be raising will go specifically towards researching Rare cancers. Please be generous in aiding me to raise a small amount of £150 to Cancer Research UK. Thank you, Anisa
