In October 2019, we lost our mum to cancer aged only 63. She had been battling it for over 20 years. When she was in her early 20s, she lost her mum to the same cancer. The advancements in cancer treatment meant she didn't suffer the same fate as her mother as early as she did.
She was an incredible woman who loved her motorbikes when she was younger. When she became very ill towards the end, she loved hearing about my small motorbike adventures and would often tell me how much she wished she could join in! She also used to call me a nutter for all the stupid things I would do, like this trip. So I think this trip is very fitting as it is something she would not approve of at all but would love to know that I was doing it.
I am doing this to honour her memory and help find a cure for cancer so other families don't have to go through what we have. So please, please donate to this amazing cause.
