My Story
Ive recently decided to take up the challenge of competing in this years London Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK. As I'm sure everyone knows, cancer is very real and happening right now meaning 1 in 2 people get cancer in their lifetime and around 4 in 10 cancer cases in Scotland could be prevented. It’s a great cause and I hope you will all donate whatever you can to help make a difference. Cancer research UK is the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research with their vision to bring forward the day when all cancer is cured. In 2016, 31,331 people were diagnosed with cancer in Scotland (16,084 females and 15,247 males). The number of people diagnosed has increased over the last ten years from 28,899 in 2007. All donations, big or small, are helping accelerate progress towards the ambition to see 3 in 4 cancer patients surviving by 2034. Thanks for your support!
