My Story

I have signed up to Race for Life on July 7th. I have not done anything involving being sponsored since I was at school, so a bit nervous. My reasons for doing this are that I have personal experience with cancer, myself, my Mum who passed away from it, also recently someone very close to me has battled this cruel disease, I am doing it for them and everyone else who is currently going through it or will be in the future. 1 in 2 of us will get some form of cancer in our lives, it makes you feel helpless, can take away the things that brought joy to your life before, things we take for granted and it takes everything you have to face it and fight back, this is why I am doing it. It will also give me an incentive to continue with my running, as my aim is to run it without stopping. So if anyone can spare even a pound it would mean so much to me, I know times are difficult so if you aren't able to that's absolutely fine, words of encouragement are just as valued. I just want to help in my own small way 🏃‍♀️ ❤️
