My Story
12 months ago, March 17, my mum thought she had a chest infection. She was given antibiotics but it didn’t clear. After a chest X-ray it was confirmed, my beautiful mum had lung cancer. It has been a rough road for mum but she is such a strong lady. after chemo, radiotherapy, getting sepsis and pneumonia, mum ended up in ICU and was given 48 hours. Mum shocked everyone, she came out of ICU, came home and in November 18, was given the all clear. Unfortunately, mum had small cell lung cancer which is aggressive and fast growing. In February 19, mum became poorly again with dizziness and sickness and a scan revealed that it has gone to her brain with multiple tumours. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
