I am doing the Shinewalk, Newcastle for 2 reasons. 1 in memory of my lovely Aunty who we lost in 2017 to Pancreatic cancer and 2 for Breast Cancer research as they do a fanastic job in quick detection, treatment and aftercare. They have been abolutely amazing especially during the last couple of years with Covid restrictions. Both of these cancer charities mean a lot to my family and I. They are a lifeline for the patient and family alike and need as much support as possible

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
