My Story
As someone who thinks twice about running for the bus let alone for 10k, I confess to sometimes wondering whether signing up for the Race For Life was such a good idea. Just completing 10k would be a personal best! But it’s for a great cause, so here goes. Many of us with will be touched by cancer at some point, whether it’s ourselves, our family or our friends. I’m running in memory of my brother-in-law, Jonathan, and sister-in-law Marge, both of whom died of cancer far too young. Cancer Research looks into how to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and every bit of support helps so anything you are able to donate really would be welcome. Thank you.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
