2019 ASICS London 10k
Sun 21 Jul 2019 - Sun 21 Jul 2019
In memory of
My grandad
All, For those who knows me, I will be taking part in the ASICS London 10k run on the 21st July 2019 along with my fellow friends Iris, Danny and Waiman, who are also running in support of their individual chosen charities. Please visit their pages below and show your support! https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/iriss-giving-page-7 https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=TheHareAndTortoise2&isTeam=true This will be my first ever run and I will be representing Cancer Research UK. I want to support this charity in memory of my grandad, who was fighting hard against cancer for a long time. As some of you know, earlier this year, I have been travelling back and forth from London to Hong Kong, finding ways to accommodate my work and life balance to spend every precious time possible with my grandad in Hong Kong without any regrets. When I had to fly back to London after the Chinese New Year in February 2019, I know fully well… deep down inside me…holding my grandad’s hand and giving him a hug and kiss, that this moment could possibly be the last time for me to see him and to say goodbye to him. Then the day has come, on the 8th April 2019, when I received a message from my mum in the morning that broke my heart… the news of my grandad passing away. This will be my gesture in memory of my grandad and to raise awareness for such charity. I want to take part in this run to ensure that none of my family or friends have to endure the same pain and heartbreak of losing their love ones to cancer. If you wish to support me, please donate through my page and help to raise awareness. Please donate generously, every little helps towards my fundraising target for Cancer Research. https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/andys-giving-page-172 Thank you and appreciate for your kind donation and support! Together, we stand united and strong in fighting cancer!
