I am riding an inappropriate motorcycle from Lands End to John O'Groats, in 24hours, "NO MOTORWAYS",

In memory of

Bo Kjaegaard Andersen

25th Dec 1962 - 8th Sep 2023

My Story

My Story; I’ve done a few mad things in my time, had my hair shaved a few times for cancer research, but now as I get older, I find myself wanting to do something slightly different.... I do like a challenge and a lot of would say that I’m slightly challenged. THE CHALLENGE Ride a motorbike that costs no more than £600. sounds easy.... Ah, you need to Ride it from Lands End to John O'Groats “ok that’s a little harder”....... Do all that in 24 hours...... without using motorways.... NOW THAT’S A CHALLENGE I cant refuse!! In memory of Bo , and so many more. Bo, my Danish neighbor, my friend, running partner, personal shrink, my occasional drink or two buddy , bread-on-stick night host (with his wonderful wife Marianne and three daughters Claire, Luna, and Liv). Bo was an amazing friend. He always had a smile, even through the many treatments he endured. In July last year, he told me he had never ridden a motorcycle and it was on his bucket list , " I know !" I will teach you when you feel well enough, alas he lost his battle so in his honor, I will take Bo, and we will do this challenge together. Colin, another inspirational man throughout his life, and positively influencing many he met. He did the first ever longest day ride. A positive and inspirational man throughout his illness. My mum beat it twice, living until she was 80 and throughout my life has inspired me to be strong, and rather bullish to take on any challenge of which many I thought not possible- including my own health issues. If it wasn't for her, I’d not be the character I am or be participating in this event.
