My Story
Hey everyone, I thought I'd take the time to tell you why I'm entering race for life....of course this was inspired by Donna and her plight to raise money for Cancer Research after the news of her brother's diagnosis. In addition to that I've had several family members affected by this terrible disease, my Dad had cancerous tissue in his bowel not so long ago and my (very) brave sister has just had surgery to remove cancer from her breast. Over the years I've known many others affected, so its time to step up. Anybody who knows me will know I'm a keen runner and you might think 10k is easy for me but I'll be doing this one around 30 minutes after completing the virtual London marathon, making it a 52.2k run in total (my first ultra marathon). That has to be worth a sponsor! Dig deep please, its a very worthy cause.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
